Arcade Staff Anti-Cheat Training Checklist for Floor Managers

Your floor managers are the bridge between anti-cheat hardware and on-the-ground detection. This training checklist covers what every floor manager needs to know about spotting cheating.

Understanding the Threat

1. Explain the three categories of cheating: signal-based (jammers, injectors), physical (wire taps, tools), and code-based (cheat codes, trojans).

2. Show examples of each category using real devices or photos. Theoretical descriptions are less effective than visual recognition.

3. Explain how anti-cheat devices work at a high level: they monitor signals and block unauthorized ones. Managers need to understand what the devices do so they can verify they are working.

Detection Skills

4. Train on player behavior indicators: consistent winners, device proximity to machines, unusual play patterns.

5. Train on physical indicators: missing tamper seals, loose cables, unusual objects near machines.

6. Train on data indicators: how to read payout logs, how to calculate cash-to-payout ratios, what the anti-cheat device event log means.

Reporting and Response

7. Establish a clear reporting chain: what to report, to whom, and how quickly.

8. Train on what NOT to do: confront cheaters directly, touch suspicious devices, or tamper with potential evidence.

9. Practice the response procedure with real scenarios. Role-playing is more effective than reading a manual.

10. Schedule quarterly refresher training. New cheating methods emerge regularly, and training content must keep pace.
