Setting up multi-machine anti-cheat coverage across a large floor requires planning to ensure every machine is protected without overspending on devices. This 8-step guide covers the setup process.
Step 1: Create a Floor Plan
Draw a scaled floor plan showing the position of every machine. Include dimensions and spacing between machines. A visual plan makes it easier to calculate coverage requirements than relying on memory or estimates.
Step 2: Identify Machine Types
Mark each machine type on the plan: fish tables, top ball machines, coin pushers, claw machines, and lottery machines. Different types may need different protection approaches. This helps you determine the right mix of device types.
Step 3: Determine Coverage Zones
Divide your floor into coverage zones based on machine density. Areas with machines spaced less than 2 meters apart can be covered by fewer devices. Areas with wider spacing need more devices.
Step 4: Calculate Device Needs
Using the coverage zones, calculate how many devices you need. A Gen2 covers 2-3 machines in a typical layout. Plan for one device per zone, with additional devices for zones with wider spacing.
Step 5: Plan Device Placement
For each zone, plan where to place each device to maximize coverage. Centrally located devices within a zone cover more machines than edge-placed devices. Avoid placing devices behind metal enclosures.
Step 6: Install Devices
Install devices according to the placement plan. Verify each device is active after installation. Note the device serial number and assigned zone in your installation log.
Step 7: Verify Coverage
Walk the floor and confirm that every machine is within range of an active device. Use the event log to verify that devices are detecting signals. An empty log after 7 days may indicate a coverage gap.
Step 8: Document and Adjust
Document the final installation configuration. If coverage gaps are identified during verification, add or reposition devices as needed. Review the coverage plan annually and adjust for any floor layout changes.
If your arcade machine is showing signs of coverage planning, send me a message with your machine model and a photo of your setup. I will do a quick remote check for free. Every device comes with a money-back guarantee, official invoice, express shipping, and 1-on-1 technical support.
