I visited our manufacturing facility and spoke with the lead product engineer about how anti-cheat devices are designed, tested, and produced. He gave me an inside look at the engineering process that most operators never see.
How Anti-Cheat Devices Are Designed
“Every anti-cheat device starts with threat research. Our team monitors cheating forums, analyzes recovered devices, and works with operators to understand what methods are being used in the field. This research drives the design specifications. We need to know what frequencies are being used, what signal patterns are being injected, and what machine types are being targeted before we can design a device that blocks those attacks.
The engineering challenge is balancing coverage with cost. We could build a device that covers every frequency from DC to daylight, but no operator would pay for it. We focus on the 300-2400MHz range because that covers the vast majority of documented cheating methods.”
Testing Process
“Each device model goes through three testing phases. First, lab testing with signal generators that simulate known cheating methods. Second, field testing in actual arcade environments with real machines. Third, long-term reliability testing where devices run continuously for weeks to identify any failure points.
A device does not leave the factory until it has passed all three phases. We have rejected designs that passed lab testing but failed in field conditions. Real arcade environments are noisier and more demanding than any lab.”
Quality Control
“Every device that ships is individually tested. Not sample testing. Every single unit. The test verifies that the device powers on, detects a test signal, and blocks it within the specified response time. Units that fail any step are recycled.
The Gen2 devices have a field failure rate well below industry average. That is not an accident. It is the result of rigorous testing and quality control at every stage of production.”
If your arcade machine is showing signs of product concerns, send me a message with your machine model and a photo of your setup. I will do a quick remote check for free. Every device comes with a money-back guarantee, official invoice, express shipping, and 1-on-1 technical support.
